David Yarrow se ha labrado una reputación sin rival capturando la belleza de remotos paisajes, culturas y animales amenazados del planeta. Nacido en Glasgow, Escocia, en 1966, actualmente es aclamado internacionalmente como fotógrafo artístico, uno de los fotógrafos de naturaleza y vida salvaje que más vende en Europa.
Está representado por algunas de las galerías más importantes del mundo, con sus copias superando los 60.000 dólares. Ha exhibido en el Museo Perot de Dallas, y su obra se encuentra expuesta de forma permanente en el nuevo Museo de Historia Natural de Missouri.
He recopilado cinco de sus estupendas fotografías de rinocerontes.

Esta impactante imagen tomada un atardecer en la reserva de caza de Mkomazi en Tanzania tiene un grado de simplicidad desmentido por las complicaciones de su captura. No puedo encontrar una forma mejor de transmitir el poder y el rostro prehistórico de un rinoceronte que utilizando un gran angular con un cuerpo de cámara manejado a control remoto, estratégicamente situado en el suelo, en el camino que presumiblemente seguirá el rinoceronte.
This impactful image taken late one afternoon in Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania has a level of simplicity that belies the complications in its capture. I can see no better way of conveying the power and prehistoric face of a rhinoceros than using a wide-angle lens with a remote control body strategically placed on the ground in the predicted path of a rhino.

«This is a magnificent black rhinoceros that is clearly far closer to me than its skittish behaviour would normally countenance. Rhinos have poor eyesight, but this is compensated for by a great sense of smell, so he knows all about my presence and it shows. Just after this, he charged me. The horn of this rhinoceros is worth $ 500,000 today at end market prices and this clearly constitutes a big problem in a country where the average annual wage is $5,000. Sometimes the job of a photographer is merely to document a subject as aesthetically as they can, rather than to create art per se. This is one such picture – I wanted a powerful portrait of a $ 500,000 animal and this is the best I have. The horn is quite remarkable and it is imperative that our children and our children’s children have the chance to see what I saw that early morning in Lewa. In my view, it is the most extraordinary surviving animal to look at on our planet and that must continue to be the case.»

David Yarrow has built an unrivalled reputation for capturing the beauty of the planet’s remote landscapes, cultures and endangered animals. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is now an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer.
He is represented by some of the world’s leading galleries, with his prints selling for up to $60,000 and in America David has shown at the renowned Perot Museum in Dallas and his work is permanently on show at the new Museum of Natural History in Missouri.
I've compilated five of his beautiful pictures of rhinos.

Jaime Sanjuan Ocabo
Jaime Sanjuan Ocabo es un artista digital español nacido en 1981.
Obtuvo su licenciatura en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Castilla la Mancha (Cuenca) en 2006.
Todas sus ilustraciones están realizadas pintando sobre un iPad con sus dedos (algunas de sus obras le insumen más de 100 horas de trabajo)
Ha recibido varios premios, como el 1er Premio a la mejor campaña gráfica (Aragón en la Red, 2014), primer premio del público (1st price people´s choice award, MDAC summit, 2014) y el Primer premio en el Pogo Art Contest, 2014.

Jaime Sanjuan Ocabo is an Spanish digital artist born in 1981.
He graduated in Fine Arts in 2006 at the University of Castilla la Mancha (Cuenca).
All his illustrations are painted on an iPad with his fingers (some of his works involve more than 100 hours of work).
He has received several prizes: 1st Prize Graphic Campaign (Aragon en la Red, 2014), 1st Price People´s Choice Award (MDAC Summit, 2014), and 1st Prize at the Pogo Art Contest 2014.

Rory Carnegie
Rory Carnegie es un fotógrafo británico internacionalmente aclamado, que ha trabajado en todo el mundo en numerosos proyectos de reportajes y retratos. Cogió por primera vez una cámara a los trece años, pero no se tomó la fotografía en serio hasta que comenzó a viajar, antes de entrar en la universidad. Utilizó este primer trabajo en un proyecto de libro colaborativo sobre el Altiplano en Bolivia. Desde entonces Rory ha visto su obra publicada en The Observer, LA Times, The Telegraph Magazine, The Sunday Times, GQ, The Independent Magazine y el British Journal of Photography.
La fotografía de animales constituye una parte importante de su obra. De su serie "Hace tiempo y allá lejos", que explora la reubicación, el hábitat, la identidad y la pertenencia, es esta bella fotografía de un rinoceronte.
«Todos los animales en esta serie han sido fotografiados en estudio, o en un estudio construido donde los animales viven. Luego fueron situados sobre un fondo neutro e iluminados con una combinación de luz natural y artificial. Al utilizar esta técnica, la intención es dar a los animales una sensación simultánea de separación y unión con el medio ambiente, en el que serían posicionados posteriormente.» R.C.

Rory Carnegie is a British, internationally acclaimed photographer who has worked around the world on numerous reportage and portraiture projects. He first picked up a camera aged thirteen, but didn't take photography seriously until he began travelling before university. He then used this first body of work on a collaborative book project about the Altiplano in Bolivia. From there, Rory has had work published in The Observer, LA Times, The Telegraph Magazine, The Sunday Times, GQ, The Independent Magazine and the British Journal of Photography.
Animal photography is an important part of his work. From his series "Long Ago and Far Away", a body of work that explores relocation, habitat, identity and belonging, is this beautiful photograph of a rhino.
«All the animals in this series were photographed in a studio or in a studio set-up where the animals lived. They were positioned against a neutral background and lit with a combination of ambient and artificial lighting. The intention of using this technique was to give the animals a simultaneous feeling of both separateness and togetherness with the environment, into which they would be subsequently positioned.» R.C.

Sergio Bustamante es un artista mexicano nacido en Culiacán, estado de Sinaloa, en 1949, de quien publiqué recientemente una amplia reseña con información y abundantes imágenes. También puede verse en el blog uno de sus rinocerontes en un post del año 2012.

Rohan Sharad Dahotre es un ilustrador y diseñador indio que trabaja desde Chumbak, Bangalore.
«Soy un entusiasta de la naturaleza y la vida silvestre. Un agudo observador que adora explorar lo salvaje. Amo ilustrar animales, aves y todas las cosas silvestres. En un futuro próximo, me gustaría trabajar por la causa de la concienciación sobre la vida silvestre, la conservación y el bienestar a través de mis ilustraciones, y espero poder marcar la diferencia.
"Garabatos animales" es una serie de imágenes de diferentes animales que he encontrado en Google, y garabateado lo que imaginaba sobre ellos. Uno puede encontrar muchos patrones y texturas diferentes en la naturaleza, especialmente en la flora y la fauna. Alain Le Foll
Alain Le Foll fue un artista francés nacido en Bretaña en 1939.
Entró en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Caen a los 11 años. Después de estudiar allí fue aprendiz en estudios independientes donde desarrolló su talento para dibujar y pintar. Trabajó como ilustrador en SNIR y simultáneamente estudió animación, textiles y otros diseños comerciales. En 1964 comenzó a enseñar en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Decorativas en París. Su carrera como buen artista, profesor y maestro grabador, se vio truncada por su muerte en 1981. Dejó una obra muy respetada y admirada, que ha sido expuesta en toda Europa y Estados Unidos.

Alain Le Foll was a French artist born in Brittany in 1939.
He entered Caen Beaux-Arts School at the age of 11. Following study there he was apprentice at independent studios where he developed his talent for drawing and painting. Le Foll worked as an illustrator at SNIR and concurrently studied animated files, textiles, and other commercial design. In 1964 Le Foll began teaching at Ecole Nationale de Arts Decoratifs in Paris. His skilled career as a fine artist, teacher, and master printmaker was cut short by his death in 1981. He left a respected and greatly admired body of work, that has been exhibited throughout Europe and the United States.

Aquí, su participación en el "West Wall Proyect (Proyecto del muro occidental)", desarrollado en 2014, en el cual podemos ver el trabajo mural de ROA sobre una pila de contenedores.

Delon Moody fue un artista sudafricano que se definía como "autodidacta, artista del graffiti, muralista y amante de la naturaleza".
Delon, que firmaba sus obras como 4GIVN, falleció súbitamente en abril de 2016.
Desde una edad temprana desarrolló un profundo amor y aprecio por la música y el arte visual. Como artista en ciernes, se inspiró en la belleza de la naturaleza, el brillo interior de la humanidad y las complejas luchas de la pobreza dentro de la sociedad urbana y sub urbana. Expuesto a la cultura callejera urbana, descubrió su propia forma de expresión personal en el graffiti, el skateboarding y el arte visual.
Uno de sus animales representados con más frecuencia en sus coloridas obras son los rinocerontes. Vemos algunos buenos ejemplos.

Delon Moody is a South African artist who defines himself as "self-taught, graffiti artist, muralist and nature lover".
Delon, who signed his works as 4GIVN, died suddenly in April, 2016.
At a young age, Delon Moody developed a deep love & appreciation for music & visual art. As a budding artist he was inspired by the beauty of nature, the inner brilliance of mankind & the complex struggles of poverty within urban & sub urban society. Exposed to urban street culture, he discovered his own form of self-expression in Graffiti, Skateboarding & Visual art.
One of the most frequently represented animals in his colorful works are rhinoceroses. Here we see some good examples.
