Richard Müller was a drawer, painter and etcher born in the Bohemian city of Tschirnitz (today Cernovice nad Ohra, Czech Republic) in 1874.

William E. Skilling
"Rinoceronte / Rhinoceros", c. 1960.
William E. Skilling fue un artista californiano conocido por sus retratos y paisajes, nacido en 1892. Sirvió durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, tras lo cual se afincó en San Francisco donde residió hasta su muerte en abril de 1964.
Realizó también copias de artistas como Edward Hicks, Parson Fisher y Giuseppe Arcimboldo, y entre sus exposiciones se cuentan la de la Oakland Art League en 1928. Información traducida de aquí.
A California artist known for portrait and landscape painting, he served in World War I and then settled in San Francisco where he died on April 8, 1964. He also did copies of work by artists including Edward Hicks, Parson Fisher and Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

Nuevos trabajos con rinocerontes de otro artista estadounidense nacido en Newcastle (Wyoming, USA) en 1972, cuya obra presenté en marzo repasando precisamente la inclusión de rinocerontes en sus pinturas.

Jonathan Delafield Cook es un artista inglés nacido en Londres en 1965, ampliamente reconocido por sus increíblemente detallados dibujos al carboncillo.
Comenzó su carrera como dibujante de arquitectura en Japón y ha ganado varios premios por su arte. Tras sus estudios en Oriente regresó a Inglaterra donde asistió a clases en la Royal Academy of Art entre 1994 y 1995.
Sus dibujos tienen una calidad fotográfica y ha realizado un gran número de exposiciones desde 1996.
El rinoceronte "Jos" es uno de los animales de la serie a tamaño natural que incluye vacas, toros y ovejas.

Jonathan Delafield Cook is an artist born in London, 1965, widely recognized for his incredibly detailed charcoal drawings.
He began his career as an illustrator of architecture in Japan and has won several awards for his art. After studying at Eastern returned to England where he attended classes at the Royal Academy of Art between 1994 and 1995.
His drawings have a photographic quality and has made a large number of exhibitions since 1996.
The Rhinoceros "Jos" is one of the animals life-size series including cows, bulls and sheep.

Franz Borghese fue un pintor y escultor italiano nacido en 1941. Asistió a la Academia de Bellas Artes de Roma donde enseñaban Domenico Purificato, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Umberto Maganzini y Giulio Turcato.
Utilizó numerosas técnicas: óleo, témpera, tinta, acuarelas e impresión. En 1964 fundó “Il ferro di cavallo”, una revista de arte y cultura.
Desde niño fue un lúcido e irónico narrador de las costumbres y alienaciones de la burguesía urbana, que representó con estereotipos grotescos. Desde un punto de vista teórico, enlaza con el Expresionismo de los alemanes: George Grosz y Otto Dix, aún cuando ellos estaban de hecho inmersos una temática vital y ambigua de cuento de hadas. Su primera exhibición en solitario tuvo lugar en Roma en 1968. En 2005 se realizó una importante muestra antológica de su obra en el Palazzo Venezia. Murió en diciembre de ese mismo año.

Franz Borghese was born in Rome in 1941. He attended Rome’s Fine Arts Academy and Rome’s Artistic Lyceum together with Purificato, Capogrossi, Maganzini and Turcato. Multiple techniques were used by the artist: oil and gouache, ink and watercolour, printing and sculpture. In 1964 he founded “Il ferro di cavallo” a magazine on art and culture. Since then he’s been a lucid and ironic narrator of the habits and alienations of the city’s bourgeoisie, which he represented in grotesque stereotypes. Theoretically these were linked to the Expressionism of German painters such as George Grosz and Otto Dix, even though they were in fact immersed in a lively and ambiguous fairytale like theme. In 1968 his first solo show took place in Rome. In 2005 an important anthological exhibition took place in Rome, in Palazzo Venezia. He died in Rome in the December of the same year.
