Delene Roché "Shany" van den Berg

Shany nació en Riverdale, en el Western Cape en 1958, y se matriculó en la CJ Langenhoven Highschool. Estudió cerámica a tiempo parcial desde 1982 hasta 1985, y dibujo y pintura en la Ruth Prowse School of Art desde 1990 a 1992. Desde entonces trabaja como artista full time, desarrollando su propia técnica en pintura al óleo y tridimensional, produciendo una obra que se ha exhibido en varias galerías.
Sus pinturas al óleo capturan una reminiscencia manierismo contemporáneo con un enfoque centrado en lo femenino.

Shany was born in Riverdale, in the Western Cape in 1958, and enrolled at the CJ Langenhoven Highschool. He studied part-time ceramic deste 1982-1985, and drawing and painting at the Ruth Prowse School of Art from 1990 to 1992. Since then she has worked full time as an artist, developing her own technique in oil painting and three-dimensional, producing a work that he has exhibited in several galleries.
Her oil paintings capture a reminiscent of contemporary mannerism with a focus on feminine approach.

Tarsila do Amaral nació en 1886 en el municipio de Capivari, al interior del Estado de São Paulo. Hija de hacendados, tras sus primeros estudios fue a Barcelona donde pintó su primer cuadro, 'Sagrado Coração de Jesus', 1904. Volvió a Brasil, se casó y tuvo una hija. Unos años después inició sus estudios artísticos. Comenzó con la escultura, luego estudió en París en la Académie Julien y con Émile Renard, hasta 1922. A su regreso a Brasil se introdujo en el grupo modernista, junto con Oswals de Andrate, Anita, Oswald, y también el escritor Mário de Andrade e Menotti Del Picchia, con los que agitaron el mundo cultural de São Paulo. Tarsila do Amaral was born in 1886 in the municipality of Capivari, in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. A farmers daughter, after her studies went to Barcelona where she painted her first picture, "Sagrado Coração de Jesus", 1904. She returned to Brazil, he married and had a daughter. A few years later began her art studies. She began with sculpture, then studied in Paris at the Academie Julien under Emile Renard, until 1922. Upon her return to Brazil entered the modernist group, along with Oswals of Andrade, Anita, Oswald, and also the writer Mário de Andrade and Menotti Del Picchia with which stirred the cultural world of São Paulo. Xi Pan nació en 1989 en Wenzhou, en la provincia de Zhejiang, China, y estudió en la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes de Hangzhou. Un año más tarde se trasladó a la Academia de Bellas Artes de Moscú, donde obtuvo una nueva Maestría en Bellas Artes.
Como nos cuentan en el blog "Navío del arte": "Practica un estilo de pintura occidental, siguiendo el camino abierto hace años por su compatriota Pan Yuliang y yo diría que con notable influencia de Modigliani y también nos recuerda con sus trabajos a Matisse, Klimt y a Schiele, nos deleita con un erotismo fresco, delicioso y lleno de guiños a Oriente y a Occidente."
