Emeka Abiodun Juwah
(Estado de Delta / Delta State, Nigeria, 1970-)
Emeka Abiodun Juwah es un artista nigeriano nacido en el Estado del Delta en 1970. Se crió en el Estado de Oyo, donde recibió su educación primaria y secundaria. Más tarde fue admitido en la Escuela de Tecnología Textil, Arte y Diseño en Lagos.
Después de sus estudios se dedicó al arte a tiempo completo.
Ha trabajado como escultor, diseñador textil y también pintor. "El arte es lo que he estado haciendo toda mi vida. He hecho muchos trabajos de interior y exterior para organizaciones corporativas."

«Hago mis esculturas con diferentes medios; trabajo con cemento, fibra, metales, con cualquier material que caiga en mis manos. En mis pinturas utilizo diferentes estilos y técnicas; trabajo con óleo, acrílico, acuarelas, lápices, pasteles y otros materiales.
Mi inspiración proviene de cosas que suceden a mi alrededor, experiencias de mi vida personal, lo que ha pasado, actividades en mi vecindario y así sucesivamente.
Soy un artista que experimenta mucho; me encanta explorar y tengo diferentes estilos de obras con vínculos que las conectan.»

«Mi estilo es natural. No tengo un marco de referencia para comenzar mis obras. Preparo mi lienzo y mi paleta de colores, luego pinto siguiendo las líneas en las que la inspiración me llega. (...) Mi arte significa todo para mí. Me permite decir lo que pienso, expresarme, y me ayuda a comunicarme de maneras que de otra forma no podría.»

Emeka Abiodun Juwah is a Nigerian artist born in the Delta State in 1970. He brought up in Oyo State, where he got his primary and secondary school education. Later he was admitted in the School of Textile Technology Art and Design in Lagos.
After his studies he devoted himself to full time art.
He worked as sculptor, textile desiger and also painting. "Art is what have been doing all my life. I have done so many indoor and out door works for corporate organizations."

«My sculpture is on different mediums; I work on cement, fiber, metals, with any materials I can lay my hands on. My paintings are in different styles and techiques; I work with oil, acrylic, watercolors, pencils pen, pastels and other materials.
My inspirations comes from things happening around me, experiences of my personal life, what have been through, activities in my neighbourhood and so on.
I'm an arist that experiment a lot; I love exploring and I have different styles of works with links that connects them.»

«My style comes naturally. I don’t have a frame of reference upon starting my works. I prepare my canvas and pallet of colors, then paint along the lines the inspiration comes to me. (...) My art means everything to me. It allows me to speak my mind, express myself, and helps me to communicate in ways I may not be able to otherwise.»
