Una mujer en estado de completa sumisión (las manos y los pies atados, la boca amordazada y sus ojos vendados) es la visión que vino a mí después de que George W. Bush promulgó la Ley Patriótica el 26 de octubre de 2001 en respuesta a los atentados del 11 de septiembre.
EE.UU. - PATRIOT significa 'Unir y Fortalecer América con los instrumentos necesarios adecuados para interceptar y obstruir el terrorismo.".
En mi mente, lo que antes era el epítome de un país libre, ahora había eliminado los derechos y libertades de todos los estadounidenses.
La Ley Patriótica restringió las libertades personales como nunca antes - acopio de información de inteligencia, escuchas telefónicas, vigilancia y regulación de los asuntos financieros ahora están permitidos /

USA – PATRIOT stands for ‘Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism”.
In my mind, what was once the epitome of a free country had now removed the rights and freedoms of all Americans.
The Patriot Act reduced restrictions on personal freedoms as never before – gathering of intelligence, roving wiretaps, surveillance and the regulating of financial matters are all now allowed.

Luo Zhongli estudió en el Departamento de la pintura al óleo del Instituto de Bellas Artes de Sichuan en 1978, y "Padre" se creó durante ese período. Interpretó delicadamente a un agricultor típico chino con un enfoque realista. El rostro oscuro del anciano está lleno de arrugas, labios resecos, un único diente y porta un viejo cuenco en su mano lesionada. Todos esto lo hace tan real a los ojos del espectador. Su creatividad y el profundo concepto de la imagen sorprendieron el círculo de bellas artes y a toda la sociedad. Se despertó una discusión sobre lo real y típico de la figura, así como su forma y valores estéticos. La obra fue nombrada originalmente "Mi Padre", y fue galardonada con el 1er Premio en la 2ª Muestra de Arte Joven de China, donde los jueces la renombraron como "Padre". /
He went to study in the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts in 1978, and Father was created during that time. He delicately portrayed a typical Chinese farmer with realistic approach. The old man’s dark face is full of wrinkles, parched lips, an only tooth, and the injured hand with an old bowl in it. All these are so real before people's eyes. His creativity and the profound concept of the picture shocked the fine art circle, and also the whole society. A discussion of the real and typical of the figure, and the form and esthetic value were aroused. This picture was named My Father originally, and it was awarded the 1st Prize on the 2nd China Youth Art Exhibition, and was renamed Father by the judges.
