Encontrada en el mar Egeo entre las islas de Eubea y Agios Efstratios.

El Emperador está representado en edad madura, montando un caballo. Lleva una túnica con una raya vertical púrpura (clavus purpurea) y un paludamento con flecos decorado con un patrón de meandro. Los rasgos iconográficos de los tipos Prima Porta y Actium se combinan en esta estatua. La mano derecha se levanta en un gesto de saludo oficial. La empuñadura de su espada se puede ver debajo de la mano izquierda, en la que sostenía las riendas del caballo. En el bisel de su anillo, está grabado un bastón de adivinación (lituus), que simboliza el supremo oficio religioso del Pontifex Maximus, asumido por Augusto en el 12 a.C. Fuente

Found in the Aegean sea between the islands of Euboea and Agios Efstratios.

The Emperor is depicted in mature age, mounting a horse. He wears a tunica with a vertical purple stripe (clavus purpurea) and a fringed paludamentum decorated with a meander pattern. Iconographic features of the Prima Porta and Actium types are combined in this statue. The right hand is raised in a gesture of official greeting. The hilt of his sword can be seen below the left hand, in which he held the horse's reigns. On the bezel of his finger-ring, a staff of adivination (lituus) is engraved, sybolizing the supreme religious office of Pontifex Maximus, assumed by Augustus in 12 BC. Source
