Gilles Aillaud fue un pintor, autor y escenógrafo francés nacido en París en 1928, hijo del arquitecto Émile Aillaud.
Representante de corrientes tales como la Nueva Figuración y la Figuración Narrativa, sus temas favoritos son la representación de animales en parques zoológicos y paisajes costeros. Mediante una paleta deliberadamente fría y un trabajo particular en perspectiva y encuadre, Gilles Aillaud mantiene al espectador a una distancia del sujeto mientras lo integra físicamente en el espacio.
Produjo obras colectivas con Eduardo Arroyo y Antonio Recalcati, como "Una pasión en el desierto", y "Vivir y dejar morir, o el trágico final de Marcel Duchamp".
En 1965, Gilles Aillaud se convirtió en presidente del Salon de la Jeune Peinture.
Como decorador de teatro, actividad desde 1974, colabora con Klaus Michael Grüber en el Schaubühne de Berlín y con Giorgio Strehler en el Teatro Piccolo de Milán. Junto con Eduardo Arroyo creó los decorados para "Bacantes" (dirigida por Klaus Grüber en Schaubühne, en 1974) y "Fausto" (dirigida por Grüber en la capilla de Saint-Louis, en París, en 1975).
Es autor de dos textos dramáticos: "La máscara de Robespierre" y "Vermeer y Spinoza", la colección de poemas "En el azul oscuro de la mañana", así como ensayos teóricos sobre representación pictórica.
Murió en 2005.

Gilles Aillaud was a French painter, author and set designer born in Paris in 1928, son of the architect Émile Aillaud.
Representative of currents such as the New Figuration and the Narrative Figuration, his favourite themes are the representation of animals in zoos and coastal landscapes. Through a deliberately cold palette and a particular work in perspective and framing, Gilles Aillaud keeps the spectator at a distance from the subject while integrating him physically into the space.
He produced collective works with Eduardo Arroyo and Antonio Recalcati, such as "A Passion in the Dessert", and "Live and Let Die, or The Tragic End of Marcel Duchamp".
In 1965, Gilles Aillaud became president of the Salon de la Jeune Peinture.
As a theatre decorator, active since 1974, he collaborates with Klaus Michael Grüber at the Schaubühne in Berlin and with Giorgio Strehler at the Teatro Piccolo in Milan. Together with Eduardo Arroyo he created the sets for "Bacchantes" (directed by Klaus Grüber in Schaubühne, 1974) and "Faust" (directed by Grüber in the chapel of St-Louis, Paris, 1975).
He is the author of two dramatic texts: "The Masko of Robespierre" and "Vermeer and Spinoza", the collection of poems "In The Dark Blue Of The Morning", as well as theoretical essays on pictorial representation.
He died in 2005.

Steve Nayar es un artista británico.
Apasionado por el dibujo desde su niñez, Steve Nayar ha florecido hasta convertirse en un pintor de pleno derecho después de una carrera inicial en el diseño y la publicidad. Steve cree que la mayoría de los diseñadores son artistas frustrados, y la mayoría de los redactores son novelistas frustrados cuando se trata de tratar con los clientes.
"Lo bueno de ser un artista es que puedes trabajar libremente, elegir las horas que quieres trabajar y puedes hacerlo sin ninguna interferencia de otras personas." Ha estado pintando todos los días desde que se permitió dedicarse a la pintura.

Steve Nayar is a British artist.
Having that passion for drawing since a child, Steve Nayar has flourished into a full-fledged painter after an initial career in design and advertising. Steve believes that most designers are frustrated artists and most copywriters are frustrated novelists when it comes to dealing with clients.
"The great thing about being an artist is that you can work freely, choose the hours you want to work and you can work in a way without any interference from other people." He has been painting every day since indulging himself into painting.
He puts up so much passion in his work that he would lose the sense of time. He mentioned: "there was one time when I was a student and I was working on a painting, I started in the morning and I thought, oh it is still daylight, and what actually happened was that I painted all the day, all night until the next morning."
Steve has been shortlisted for seven years in a row as David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation‘s ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’.

Rusty Frentner

Cuando Rusty tenía unos 3 años, sus padres se mudaron al campo y construyeron una casa. Desde muy joven le fascinaron los vaqueros y los caballos.
Creció con bosques, campos y humedales que poco a poco se fueron apoderando de las tierras de cultivo en barbecho. Pasó mucho de su tiempo libre explorando y jugando entre las maravillas de la naturaleza. Aprendió sobre los pájaros, animales e insectos que veía y desarrolló una gran afición por la naturaleza.
Rusty recibía materiales de arte en Navidad y en sus cumpleaños. Continuó usando lápices de grafito durante toda la escuela, y recibió premios durante sus años de escuela secundaria. Al graduarse, recibió un premio especial en arte y otro en biología, sus asignaturas favoritas en la escuela. Había realizado estudios independientes en biología e ilustrado una guía para mariposas de la zona a partir de las especies que había recogido. La guía la hizo en acuarelas.
Rusty había sido introducido a las pinturas acrílicas en la escuela secundaria. Después de graduarse fue a la universidad con una beca y estudió arte comercial.
Tomó talleres con algunos de los mejores artistas de la Vida Silvestre. Durante diez años sus habilidades para pintar mejoraron al realizar más talleres. Mientras tanto se enamoró de la pintura artística de la vida silvestre. Había encontrado una manera de registrar el mundo con el que había crecido. Esto inició un deseo de por vida de capturar este mundo en un lienzo.
Rusty también ha dibujado retratos de mascotas para la gente a lo largo de los años. Ha hecho retratos por encargo de perros, caballos y gatos hechos con lápiz de color, acrílico o al óleo.

When Rusty was about 3 years of age, his parents moved to the country and built a house. From an early age he was fascinated by cowboys and horses.
Rusty grew up with woods, fields and wetlands that slowly took over the fallow farm land. He spent a lot of his spare time exploring and playing in the natural wonders. He learned about the birds, animals and the insects that he saw, and developed a great fondness for nature.
Rusty received art supplies for Christmas and birthdays. He continued to use the graphite pencils throughout school, and received awards throughout his high school years. Upon graduation, he received a special award in art and another for biology, his favorite subjects in school. He had taken independent study in biology and illustrated a guide for butterflies in the area from the species he had collected. The guide was done in watercolors.
Rusty had been introduced to acrylic paints in high school. After graduation, Rusty went to college with a scholarship and studied commercial art.
He took workshops with some of the best Wildlife artists. Over ten years, his painting skills improved as he got more workshops under his belt. Meanwhile, he fell in love with painting wildlife art. He had found a way to record the world he had grown up with. This started a lifelong desire to capture this world on canvas.
Rusty has also drawn a number of pet portraits for people over the years. He has done portrait commissions of dogs, horses and cats done with color pencil, acrylics or oils.

Heather Ujiie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Art from the State University of New Paltz, New York State Certification in Art Education K-12 from Brooklyn College, and an Associates Degree in Textile Surface Design, from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has over 15 years of experience as a textile designer, designing printed textiles for the high-end home furnishing and apparel markets in New York City. Her commercial printed textile designs have had numerous clients including Flavor Paper, and The White House private residences for President George W. Bush and Laura Bush, Washington D.C. She has also designed costumes for experimental theater and Dance in NYC, including The Julliard School and Jean Cocteau Repertory Theater.
Born in Greenwich Village, New York City, Heather Ujiie currently lives in Philadelphia and teaches at Moore College of Art & Design, where she serves as an Interdisciplinary Assistant Professor in Fashion, Textiles, Interior Design, and Foundation Design. Her textile art installations have been exhibited in The Hunterdon Museum of Art, The Racine Art Museum, and at the Wind Challenge Award Exhibition at the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial Museum. Her work has also been included in exhibitions in the Cleveland Museum of Art, The State Museum of Pennsylvania, The Delaware Center for Contemporary Art, and The Philadelphia International Airport.

Katarzyna Karpowickz es una artista polaca nacida en 1985 en Cracovia. En 2005 se graduó en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cracovia, y comenzó a estudiar pintura en la Facultad de Bellas Artes. Hasta 2008 studió con el Profesor Grzegorz Bednarski. Se graduó con honores en 2010 bajo la dirección del Prof. Leszek Misiak. Sus obras de Katarzyna Karpowicz se encuentran en muchas colecciones de Polonia y del extranjero, así como en la colección del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Gdansk. Katarzyna Karpowickz is a Polish artist born in 1985 in Krakow. In 2005 she graduated from National School of Fine Arts in Cracow, and began studying painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Krakow. Until 2008 she studied under prof. Grzegorz Bednarski. She graduated with honors in 2010 under prof. Leszek Misiak. Katarzyna Karpowicz’s works can be found in many collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Gdansk. In 2019 she was awarded with Anna Maria Siemieńska Grazella Foundation’s artistic scholarship for excellent young artists.

Giacomo Soffiantino

Giacomo Soffiantino fue un pintor y maestro italiano nacido en Turín en 1929.
Realizó su preparación artística en la Academia Albertina, como alumno de Francesco Menzio, Aldo Bertini y Mario Calandri. Luego enseñó en la escuela de arte y la Academia.
Su debut tuvo lugar en 1955 con la participación en la exposición "Siete pintores de Turín" en la Galería Girodo en Ivrea y en la Galería San Matteo en Génova. En 1956 ganó un premio de compra en la cuarta edición del Premio Spoleto. Ha participado en cuatro bienales en Venecia y una en San Paolo en Brasil. Fue un importante exponente del expresionismo abstracto, así como un maestro del grabado.
Murió en 2013.

Giacomo Soffiantino was an Italian painter and teacher born in Turin in 1929.
He completed his artistic training at the Albertina Academy, as a student of Francesco Menzio, Aldo Bertini and Mario Calandri. He then taught at the art school and Academy.
His debut took place in 1955 with the participation in the exhibition "Seven painters of Turin" at the Girodo Gallery in Ivrea and at the San Matteo Gallery in Genoa. In 1956 he won a purchase award in the fourth edition of the Spoleto Prize. He has participated in four biennials in Venice and one in San Paolo in Brazil. He was an important exponent of abstract expressionism, as well as a master of engraving.
He died in 2013.

Luigi Leonidi

Luigi Leonidi es un pintor italiano nacido en Boloña.
Sus pinturas se sitúan en un espacio neutro, abstracto, intemporal, representado por un fondo monocromático en el que predomina el uso del blanco, el negro y el gris, y en el que falta la perspectiva o una vía de escape.
Recupernado el estilo gótico, Leonidi recrea esa suspensión del tiempo ya utilizada por los artistas de los grandes talleres de arte prerrenacentista boloñés (no sólo por Vitale da Bologna, sino también y sobre todo por Simone di Filippo y Jacopo di Paolo) para crear los iconos del siglo XIV.
Pero los protagonistas de los "iconos leoninos" no son ni santos ni madonas, no son personajes portadores de mensajes sagrados y de altos valores codificados, son el Pato Donald o Pinocho, personajes nacidos en la dimensión onírica de los dibujos animados, portadores de mensajes laicos, sencillos y, a la vez, fantásticos. En ambos casos los protagonistas de estos iconos, del siglo XIV o modernos, representan la voluntad de la clase dirigente de la época de cristalizar un ejemplo, de imponer a sus contemporáneos un modelo de sociedad ideal para vivir y seguir (sagrado el primero, secular el segundo). Luigi Leonidi is an Italian painter born in Bologna.
His paintings are situated in a neutral, abstract, timeless space, represented by a monochromatic background in which the use of white, black and grey predominates, and in which perspective or an escape route is missing.
Recovering the Gothic style, Leonidi recreates that suspension of time already used by the artists of the great pre-Renaissance Bolognese art workshops (not only by Vitale da Bologna, but also and above all by Simone di Filippo and Jacopo di Paolo) to create the icons of the 14th century.
But the protagonists of the "lion icons" are neither saints nor madonnas, they are not characters carrying sacred messages and high coded values, they are Donald Duck or Pinocchio, characters born in the dreamlike dimension of cartoons, carriers of simple and, at the same time, fantastic secular messages. In both cases the protagonists of these icons, from the 14th century or modern, represent the will of the ruling class of the time to crystallize an example, to impose on their contemporaries a model of society ideal to live and follow (sacred the first, secular the second). El Parque de la Naturaleza Cabárceno en un espacio construido sobre las 750 hectáreas de una antigua explotación minera en la que extraían hierro. Allí viven 5 rinocerontes blancos. Siguiendo este enlace podéis ver el documental "Cabárceno en directo", dedicado a ellos.
