"In O Sense", moda, arte digital / fashion, digital art. Vogue Italia

Atwood has created a series of surreal, computer-generated graphics, using as the base the creations of the Greek-born British designer Mary Katrantzou.

«The portraits in the In ‘O’ Sense shoot capture the clash between the surrealists and the deconstructionists in their visual and contemplated implications. Surrealists played with the ideas of both the physical and seeable world and the world of imagination and dreams, that the two had an inextricable link and through forms of art and mind they would be able to bring the two holistically together.  Deconstructionist’s appeal to only the evident world, therefore even though patterns may be internally imprinted they always have an external reference.»

«With a background in mathematics and biology, degrees in Romance Philology and Digital Art ... In all my work I always reference to literature, a love born when I was a child because I was always alone or in the library in my free time ... even in youth not out to pubs to have fun with my friends. I preferred to cultivate myself with books. Then, of course, the study of real life completed my being.»

«I would say that the interaction between the environment and the subject is essential. At least I always assured me that it was, in the most beautiful exhibitions I have seen this kind of interaction. I love seeing my works really, I mean, printed with a minimum of 100 cm. It is the fruit of a long process of virtual work materialized. I'm a maniac and I tend to do everything myself, even prints if I can. I was artworks printing technician during seven years.»

«For me it is impossible to think that any artist is not influenced by [films and music]. We can talk about John Cage, Bill Viola ... they influenced me a lot; having grown up with them I can't help it. I spent more time in Brussels Cinematheque watching silent films with live pianist, than in front of the TV at night.»

Edward Norman Jackson, fotógrafo y reportero gráfico estadounidense del diario New York Daily News.

Willoughby studied photography at the film school at the University of Southern California and worked under graphic designer Saul Bass at the Kahn Institute of Art. Between 1948 and 1954, his exhibitions of photographs of jazz musicians and dancers led to a contract with Globe Photos. Later, he worked for Harper's Bazaar magazine. His big break came when he was assigned by six magazines to photograph Judy Garland during the filming of A Star is Born (1954). Subsequently he was hired by Warner Brothers to film the extensive "Born in a Trunk" sequence. This was the first time a motion picture studio hired a special or unit photographer to specifically take photographs for sale to magazines. The result was a Life magazine cover featuring a close-up portrait of the singer. It was her second Life cover and his first.
Much of Willoughby's popularity stemmed from his ability to capture film stars in unguarded moments of repose and vulnerability. Director Sydney Pollack said in the introduction to Bob's autobiography: "Sometimes a filmmaker gets a look at a photograph taken on his own set and sees the 'soul' of his film in one still photograph. It's rare, but it happens. It happened to me in 1969, the first time I looked at the work of Bob Willoughby during the filming of They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"
