Benedict Campbell
(Reino Unido / UK)

"Torso", arte digital / digital art

Katsuhiro Ōtomo (大友 克洋) is a Japanese manga artist, screenwriter and film director. He is best known as the creator of the manga Akira and its animated film adaptation. He was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2005, promoted to Officier of the order in 2014, became the fourth manga artist ever inducted into the American Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012, and was awarded the Purple Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in 2013. Otomo later received the Winsor McCay Award at the 41st Annie Awards in 2014 and the 2015 Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême, the first manga artist to receive the award.

Roberto Montenegro Nervo was a painter, muralist and illustrator, who was one of the first to be involved in the Mexican muralism movement after the Mexican Revolution. His most important mural work was done at the former San Pedro and San Pablo monastery but as his work did not have the same drama as other muralists, such as Diego Rivera, he lost prominence in this endeavor. Most of his career is dedicated to illustration and publishing, portrait painting and the promotion of Mexican handcrafts and folk art.

Dennis McCann studied painting throughout his schooling, and was selected to represent his school in the City of Chicago All-City Art program as a freshman. He later attended Thornton Community College, the University of Illinois and Governor's State University, and apprenticed for Andy Warhol.
His work has been featured in several publications, and he has been the subject of two documentaries- 'Dennis McCann, Artist,' a film by Gerry Barajas, and 'Dennis McCann: Portrait of an Artist,' a film by Sohhyun Yi.
In 2004 Dennis began collaborating and exhibiting with Turkish artist Fatma Gulnar. Their paintings were shown in co-exhibits at the National Museum of Painting and Sculpture, The Turkish-American Association and Ankara University Sanat Evi (ANKUSEV), in Ankara, and made history as the first co-exhibits by a Turk and an American, in Turkey, in 70 years.
Fatma and Dennis married in 2005.
Works of the artist are found in museums, private collections and galleries throughout America and Europe. The artist currently lives in Edirne.

Benedict Campbell
"I am passionate about the image and therefore I will use every means available to me to create the image..." – Benedict Campbell
With 20+ years experience in advertising as a photographer and digital artist, Benedict Campbell has produced images for many of the worlds leading brands. He is renown for combining his skills as photographer and digital illustrator to create bold and often hyper-real images.
With Benedict’s creative origins very much grounded in photography, his use of computer generated imagery has been to enhance reality, rather than detract from it. By creating a ‘virtual studio’ on computer, Benedict is able to create sets that he can light, dress and manipulate in the same way that he can do with photography. Unlike photography however, this new media is boundless in its scope , pushing back the frontiers of perception while remaining accessible and reassuringly ‘organic’.
As a visual chameleon, Benedict is able to draw from a wide range of styles. From the muted and tonal simplicity of a well-lit photograph, to the lush, sensual gloss of a computer generated image, the end product is guaranteed to leave an imprint on the mind.

Canadian born Colin Anderson, moved to Australia with his parents at the age of 14, later studying advertising and design at a Melbourne University.
He went on to work as a art director at an advertising/design agency before leaving to pursue a career as a photographer. While Colin remains based in Australia, he still has clients from all over the world who seek him out for his unique approach to the creation of imagery.
Considered a generalist, Colin’s work is stylistic, conceptual and often narrative based. A vision, that has been shared with such diverse companies as Adobe,The United States Air Force, Accor, AMP, Compaq, Dell, Discovery Channel, EMI, Esanda, Fuji, Warner Bros, Universal and many more.

Berlin-based photographer Bert Loewenherz originally studied psychology. His numerous portrait projects, some of them experimental, open up a view into deeper layers, and his pictures always speak of the sensitive and participatory reflection of the soul and personality of his models.
Bert's work has received international recognition, has been awarded numerous prizes and distinctions and has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in many European countries. His works can be found in renowned collections such as the Polaroid Foundation, USA, the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris and the photographic collection of Prof. Fritz Gruber in the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

Madalena Lobao-Tello describes herself as a visual artist, painter and ceramist. "The subject of my work is women. I born in Portugal, but I belong of all parts of the planet."

Jill West is a folk artist and cat lover.
She has a little home studio in Wichita, KS where she creates her cat paintings and cat themed goodies.
"I also foster kitties for our Humane Society & volunteer at the shelter. Most of the proceeds from my art go towards donations to cat shelters & helping other strays that come my way. I live here with my hubby, 3 kids, 2 cats & a huge dog!"

Shawna Jensen is a professional and traditional artist working in acrylic, pastels, watercolor and digital painting mediums. Primarily wildlife and pet portraits.
"I started my art career as a professional fashion photographer and soon began doing pop art portraits of the models I was photographing. Along with that I video taped most of them and uploaded them to YouTube. I took a couple of years off to focus on school and in the past year have gotten back to creating in my new style which many classify as pop surrealism or lowbrow. I am not sure if it fits in either of those, but I just go with it.

Her work includes paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures.

Francisco de Zurbarán was a Spanish Golden Age painter born in 1598.
A contemporary and friend of Velázquez, Zurbarán excelled in religious painting, in which his art reveals great visual strength and profound mysticism. He was a representative artist of the Counter-Reformation. Influenced at the beginning by Caravaggio, his style evolved to approach the Italian Mannerist masters. His representations are far from the realism of Velázquez and his compositions are characterized by a chiaroscuro modeling with more acidic tones.
He died in 1664.

The three Le Nain Brothers were painters in 17th century France.
Due to the great similarity of their pictorial styles and the difficulty of distinguishing the work of each of them (they signed their paintings only with their surname, and many could be collaborations), they are usually referred to as a single entity, Le Nain. Louis is usually credited with the most famous paintings, a series of scenes representing peasant life. These genre scenes are often very literal, but comprehensive; the subjects are never grotesque or ridiculed. It remains to be seen, however, whether some of the so-called "peasants" would really be rural class, as many appear to be simple bourgeois spending their leisure time in the countryside (e.g. The Dairy Family).
The brothers also produced miniatures (mostly attributed to Antoine) and portraits (attributed to Mathieu). Mathieu became the official painter of Paris in 1633, and was knighted.
