The spectacular vertical panoramics by Richard Silver offered us a different perspective of the religious buildings, allowing to observe in detail and in all its breadth, one of the most striking features of these buildings; the ceilings.
Besides this Series, Richard has excellent shots of his countless trips around the world. I'll publish a selection in future posts.

Richard Silver

Richard Silver es un fotógrafo estadounidense nacido y criado en Nueva York (actualmente vive en Manhattan), pero para él, su casa es donde está su cámara. Richard ha visitado 75 países y más de 220 ciudades a lo largo de su vida. Aunque en su camino incluye de todo, desde la informática, a Wall Street, con propiedades inmobiliarias en Manhattan, siempre mantuvo su pasión por la fotografía y comenzó a dedicarse a ello a tiempo completo en 2011.

Ama la arquitectura icónica, ya sea antigua o moderna, y siempre está centrado en documentar hermosas estructuras en cada nueva ciudad que visita. Richard adora utilizar técnicas como el Tilt Shift, Panoramas y Time Slice, para presentar nuestro mundo cotidiano en un contexto visual alterado. Su obra ha sido exhibida en museos y galerías de todo Estados Unidos, incluyendo el Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Skyscraper Museum, LaGrange Art Museum y la Krause Gallery in New York.

Richard Silver is New York born and bred (raised in Brooklyn and now lives in Manhattan), but to him, home is where his camera is. Richard has visited 75 countries and more than 220 cities in his life. Although his former career paths include everything from computer science, to Wall Street, to real estate in Manhattan, he’s always maintained his passion for photography and started shooting full time in 2011.

Richard’s love for travel has afforded him many opportunities to shoot different cities and cultures. He loves iconic architecture, whether it’s ancient or modern, and is always focused on documenting beautiful structures in each new city he visits.
