Colin Chillag
Colin Chillag nació en Syracuse, New York en 1971. Estudió entre 1989 y 1993 en el Chicago Art Institute, y desde 2007 ha participado en exposiciones colectivas, con su primera muestra individual al año siguiente. Es el creador de éstos magníficos "Retratos incompletos", en los que hace gala de un gran virtuosismo técnico. Pinta a través de viejas imágenes que recoge en cualquier parte; trozos descartados, perdidos o rescatados de las vidas de gentes que él recrea en unos óleos sobre lino en los cuales los espacios en blanco son lo más significativo (porque son lo que las hacen tan singulares), una vez que uno ha dejado de asombrarse por lo que hay en los espacios pintados. Greta Buysse
Greta Buysse es una fotógrafa belga nacida en 1942 que trabaja la imagen en blanco y negro con especial enfoque en el cuerpo y las texturas, en una fusión continua entre la piel, las telas, el entorno y las caligrafías... graffitis sobre piel, transparencias y cuerpos desdibujándose en el entorno. También es una buena retratista, y en su página web se pueden apreciar algunos ejemplos junto con una muestra de sus trabajos, biografía y Estudió y se graduó en la Universidad de Narafi (Bruselas) y después de trabajar unos años en fotografía publicitaria se dedicó a la actividad freelance desde Brujas donde reside actualmente. Greta Buysse loves mise en scène, accumulating and associating, a hint of Baroque, tension, retro. Sometimes she cherishes apparently worthless things, but with a whole life behind them, and she integrates them in a work of art. With a cautious, groping sensitivity she often in an inimitable way records the timeless grandeur of locations with departed glory. Looking and finding are her great virtue, the patience of Job and technical bravura are admirable: Weather-beaten walls full of notes, paint which is peeling off and traces of time, man and decadence which can tell long stories. This is one aspect of Buysse’s oeuvre.
Another is the beauty of woman. Sometimes sensually provocative, revealing and concealing at the same time.
Usually draped in veils. The striking thing is that when Buysse drapes female beauty or work on the skin, she is really sculpting. Love, life and death… Letters, feathers. Corks, cages, Magritte. Buysse associations. The lap of women who is draped and lying on her side. At first glance an abstract painting or a shining marble picture with extremely tense folds, but at the same time – the fascinating play of light and shadow in the slope – unmistakably a “lap” and never more feminine. In certain of her works, which are puzzled back together in framed square parts – which give the work a distinct dimension – on occasion Buysse plays with light so virtuously that her protagonists even remain visible in the dark! Liu Keming nació en 1962 en Beijing. Se graduó en 1985 en el Departamento de Pintura China Tradicional en la Academia Central de Bellas Artes y obtuvo su Bachiller en Artes. Más tarde alcanzó su master tras dos años de estudios en USA.
Su obra absorbe los conceptos del arte moderno, desde la base del lenguaje pictórico tradicional chino. Toma la vida cotidiana como fuente de inspiración, incorporando sus propios sentimientos y puntos de vista. Persigue incansablemente la perfección en el uso de la línea y el color, y ha realizado un conjunto de obras románticas y elegantes que se han hecho populares en todo el mundo.
En 1998 obtuvo un contrato de la Reral Gallery de New York, y un año más tarde realizó una exposición con muy buena acogida en la Rece Gallery de Manhattan. También se puede pasar por "Cuaderno de retazos" para ver más obras.

In 1989, he held his solo exhibition in Rece Gllery at Manhattan, New York and some works were purchased by an anchorman of NBC TV Station. In the same year, Liu became one of the chief artists of the Studio. In 1989, he held his solo show in Denver, US. Since 1989, he took part in the World Art Exhibition and won the Silver Award.
