Igor Morski [Ilustración, Arte digital]

Igor Morski


Igor Morski es un diseñador gráfico, ilustrador y diseñador escénico nacido en Poznań (Polonia) en 1960. 
Si bien presenta una larga trayectoria en el ámbito gráfico (pósters, ilustración para artículos, portadas de revistas), últimamente se ha centrado en el dibujo, fotomanipulación y, más recientemente algunos trabajos en 3D.

Igor se graduó con honores en la Facultad de Arquitectura de Interiores y Diseño Industrial en la Escuela Superior Estatal de Bellas Artes de Poznań (actualmente Universidad de las Artes). A fines de los '80 y principios de los '90 trabajó para la televisión polaca diseñando escenarios para programas sobre teatro, cultura y debates.
Desde entonces se forjó una carrera en la ilustración de prensa, trabajando para revistas polacas de primer orden, como "WPROST", "Newsweek", "Businesweek", "Businesman Magazine", "Manager Magazine", "Charaktery", "Psychologia dziś" y más recientemente "Focus". Su trabajo aparece también regularmente en revistas internacionales.

Ha ganado numerosos premios de categoría, incluyendo el "Communication Arts Excellence Award (2008 y 2010)", "Applied Arts Award" (2010, 2011) y otros.
Actualmente es copropietario del estudio de diseño gráfico Morski Studio Graficzne en su ciudad natal. Su arte publicitario ha sido encargado por Saatchi & Saatchi Singapur, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney y Abelson Taylor entre otros.

El carácter surrealista de su producción se ha visto potenciado por el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, fundamentalmente la fotomanipulación, en la que destaca el abordaje de temáticas como la naturaleza, la guerra, la vejez. Su punto de vista es frecuentemente crítico e irónico y hace uso de los animales y la imagen humana para crear composiciones de gran fuerza visual e intenso colorido.

Igor Morski is a graphic designer, illustrator and set designer born in Poznań (Poland) en 1960.
While he has a long career in the graphic area (posters, illustration for articles, magazine covers), lately has focused on drawing, photomanipulation and more recently some 3D work.

Igor graduated with honors from the Interior Architecture and Industrial Design Faculty at the State Higher School of Fine Art in Poznań (now the University of Arts). In the late 80’s and early 90’s he worked for public broadcasting company Polish Television creating set design for TV theatre, culture and commentary shows.
In the early 90’s the artist pursued a career in press illustration, working for leading Polish titles including „Wprost”, „Newsweek”, „Businesweek”, „Businesman Magazine”, „Manager Magazine”, „Charaktery”, „Psychologia dziś” or recently „Focus”. So far, he has created about 1000 illustrations. His work also regularly appears in international magazines (American „Deloitte Review”, Australian „Prevention”, „Money”, „ITB” and „Men’s Health”, "Womans Health, George).

He is a winner of many prestigious awards including Communication Arts Excellence Award (2008, 2010) and Applied Arts Award (2010, 2011). Golden Stellar Digital Arts California (2013)
Igor Morski is co-owner of a graphic design studio Morski Studio Graficzne in his hometown. His advertising art has been commissioned by Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney and Abelson Taylor among others.

The surreal nature of his production has been powered by the use of new technologies, mainly photomanipulation. In his work highlights topics like nature, war, old age. His view is often critical and ironic and makes use of the animals and the human image to create visually strong compositions with intense color.

  1. Gran artista y gran persona, tenemos la suerte de albergar una exposición sobre el artista en Ibiza desde el 23f hasta el 21 de marzo del 2014. Os animo a asistir.

  2. Quede impresionada y muy atraída por el lenguaje del artista. Y me llama la atención una imagen que no tiene titulo donde esta la cara de un anciano dividida por mitad y muchas gaviotas a su alrededor. Me pueden ayudar? Gracias
