Naoto Hattori [Pintura / Painting]

Naoto Hattori nació en 1975 en Yokohama, Japón. Estudió diseño gráfico en Tokyo antes de trasladarse a New York a estudiar en la Escuela de Artes Visuales. En el año 2000 recibió su Licenciatura en Ilustración. 
Ha sido premiado por la Sociedad de Ilustradores, El New York Directors Club, Communication Arts y ha ganado numerosos reconocimientos en varias competiciones. Su trabajo ha sido publicado por una gran cantidad de revistas.

Sobre su trabajo dice: "Mi visión es como un sueño, ya sea un dulce sueño, una pesadilla o sólo un sueño irreal. Intento ver qué es lo que realmente sucede en mi mente y ésta práctica incrementa mi conciencia de la creatividad en las corrientes de pensamiento subyacente. Intento no etiquetar o pensar acerca de lo que se supone que es, simplemente tomarlo tal como es y pintar lo que veo en mi mente sin compromisos. Así es como creo mi propia visión ".

Las obras de Naoto Hattori pueden parecer a primera vista realizadas por medios digitales, pero son trabajos a puro pincel, generalmente utilizando acrílicos. Composiciones con elementos surrealistas y extraños seres, muchas veces jugando con la ironía, parodiando personajes u obras de arte de los clásicos. Destacan los paisajes, casi siembre verdes praderas y arrozales con árboles y montañas de fondo.

"Nunca he visto un extraterrestre, y no son alienígenas los que pinto, pero he visto y creado mi propio mundo en mi cabeza desde que era un niño. Ahora tengo habilidades que me permiten expresar lo que veo en mis visiones (...) Mi propio arte es aún una continua educación desde mis clases de dibujo en el kinder, simplemente pinto lo que quiero. Puede parecer extraño a mucha gente, pero ¿quién sabe qué está dando vuelas en sus cabezas?"

Naoto Hattori was born in 1975 in Yokohama Japan, studied Graphic Design in Tokyo before moving to New York to study in the School of Visual Arts. In the year 2000 he received a BFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts. He has received Awards from the Society of Illustrators, the New York Directors Club, Communication Arts and also he has won numerous award from many art competitions and has been published in many art magazines.

Of his work, He says: "My vision is like a dream, whether it's a sweet dream, a nightmare, or just a trippy dream. I try to see what's really going on in my mind, and that's a practice to increase my awareness in stream-of-consciousness creativity. I try not to label or think about what is supposed to be, just take it in as it is and paint whatever I see in my mind with no compromise. That way, I create my own vision."

At first glance Naoto Hattori's works may seem made ​​digitally, but are pure brushwork, usually using acrylics. Compositions with surreal elements and strange beings, often playing with irony, parodying characters or artworks by the Classics. Notable are also his landscapes, almost all green rice fields and meadows with trees and mountain background.

"I have never seen an alien and it is not aliens I try to paint but I've been seeing and creating my own world in my head ever since I was a little kid. Now I got skill to express what I see in my visions (...) My own art is still a continue education from my kindergarten drawing class, just paint whatever I want. It might look weird to some people but who knows what is going around in their heads?"
