Imre Benkő, fotógrafo, fotoperiodista y profesor universitario húngaro, nacido en 1943 en Kispest.
Pasó su infancia en un asentamiento minero en Bakony. Después de recibir su diploma de escuela secundaria en Ajka continuó sus estudios en Budapest, graduándose en el departamento de periodismo fotográfico de la Escuela de Periodismo de la Asociación de Periodistas Húngaros (MÚOSZ) en 1971. Entre 1968 y 1986 fue periodista gráfico del Servicio de Cable de Hungría (MTI). Imre Benkő, Hungarian photographer, photojournalist, and university lecturer, born in 1943 in Kispest.
He spent his childhood in a mining settlement in the Bakony. After receiving his high school diploma in Ajka, he continued his studies in Budapest, graduating from the photojournalism department of the Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ) School of Journalism in 1971. Between 1968 and 1986, he was a photojournalist for the Hungarian Wire Service (MTI). Already in 1963, he had learned about photography, taking part in both the training and work of the Studio of Young Photographers (FFS). From 1986 until 1990, he was a photojournalist and senior staff member at Képes 7, and then for Európa magazine; from 1993 until the present, he is a freelance photographer. For 12 years, up until 2000, he was a lecturer in Documentary Photography at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts.
From 1987, for nine years, he documented the systematic dismantling of the iron foundry in Ózd, and with this photo series, he won the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund (New York) Scholarship. His album, entitled Acélváros. Ózd 1987-1995 [Steel City], was published by Pelikán Publishers.
The visual interpretation of the real world, and an idiomatic documentative portrayal of man and his environment interest him. Testimony to this lies in a number of volumes: Szürke fények (Grey Lights, 2000), Arcok. Sziget fesztivál (Faces: Sziget Festival, 2003), Blues (2003).
Since 1988, with various scholarships – Kassák Lajos Photographic Scholarship, André Kertész, and HUNGART Scholarship – he has created, travelling to many countries of the world, where his interest was directed at people, and at the social and sociological structures. His album, entitled Utak (Paths, 2004) exemplifies this well.
On two occasions – in 1975 and in 1978 – he won gold medals at the World Press Photo competition.

Per Barclay, Norwegian art historian, sculptor and creator of art installations born in Oslo in 1955. He's based in Paris and Turin.
He works with different materials and techniques, including stone, steel, aluminum, glass, water, wine or oil.
Bachelor of Art History from the University of Bergen, also trained in Italy (1979 - 1983) in art, design and photography at the Istituto statale d'arte in Florence, at the Accademia di belle arti in Bologna and the Accademia di belle arti from Rome. He began his career as an artist in Rome, where he developed his first works. The first individual exhibitions in Norway took place in Bergen and Trondheim in 1984. She was particularly interested in people and social movements, especially protests and activism.

Józef Robakowski, Polish experimental filmmaker and photographer born in 1939 in Poznan.
He studied art history and museology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University of Toruń and at the State College of Film, Television and Theater Łódź, where he later held a professorship. He lives and works in Łódź, was married to actress Małgorzata Potocka and has a daughter.
In the 1960s, Robakowski began as a photographer and filmmaker (35mm and 16mm format). From 1974, he used a video camera and belonged to the first generation of Polish video artists. One of his best known films From My Window was created between 1978 and 2000.
During the Festival for Experimental Film 1971 in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, Robakowski used a mirror during the performance of Test I to direct the projector light directly at the audience.

For the film Test II of 1971 Robakowski did not use a film camera. Light was projected directly from the film projector onto the screen due to manual processing of the filmstrip. Robakowski extended the classic methods of film projection by providing the film with additional perforations, so that the unfiltered projector light disturbed the performance at random intervals and thus broke through the comfort and darkness of the movie theater.
Light also played a crucial role in the work 1, 2, 3, 4 ... from 1992. Attention: Light! From 2004 was created in collaboration with Wiesław Michalak and Paul Sharits. Tamás Révész, Hungarian photographer born in 1946 in Budapest. He is a worldwide exhibited artist, based in New Jersey.
Renown American photographer Peter Turnley wrote, “He embodies the spirit of several of his Hungarian predecessors, including Brassaï, Capa, Kertész and Moholy-Nagy, and this sensibility, creativity, cosmopolitanism, drive and warmth have blessed the world of art and photography. The culture and people of his adopted country are extremely fortunate to have this brilliant, important talent among them.”
Hungarian photographers come from a lineage of artistic virtuosity, which helps to explain their universal appeal and recognition. The power, clarity and truth of their visual perception distinguish their work. The Hungarian sensibility combines that which is visible to the human eye with that which is perceptible only to the human soul. Revesz inherited that legacy, which is reflected in his work.
Révész has published ten books and is comfortable living and working in both the United States and Hungary. “I feel myself fortunate today that I feel at home both in Hungary and in America and that I can contribute some way with my work to both countries.”

Martha Joan Swope, American photographer of theatre and dance born in 1928 in Tyler, Texas.
She studied at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, before becoming a student at the School of American Ballet in the 1950s.
Her photography career started in 1957, when Jerome Robbins invited her to photograph rehearsals for West Side Story. Soon afterwards, Lincoln Kirstein hired her as the first official photographer for the New York City Ballet. She photographed famous figures in the dance world such as George Balanchine, Michael Bennett, Joe Papp, and David Merrick. She documented over 800 productions in her lifetime. To her, rehearsals were "where you see the creativity and the interchange, how it grows to what it comes to be onstage".

She stopped taking photos when she retired in 1994, saying that "now I think it's somebody else's era".
Her photographs have been featured in many notable newspapers and journals, including Life magazine and the New York Times. She donated her archive of 1.5 million images to the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at the Lincoln Center in 2010.
Swope's photographs were displayed in multiple books: Baryshnikov on Broadway: Photographs, Tanaquil Le Clercq's Mourka: The Autobiography of a Cat, Kenneth Laws's Physics and the Art of Dance, and Denny Martin Flinn's What They Did for Love: The Untold Story Behind the Making of A Chorus Line.
She died in 2017.
