"Photography arrived a little late in my life, but fortunately passion is timeless," Dennis says, "so at 20 I took the camera in my hands without knowing that after a while my desire would have it forever." Ilustrador nacido en Bruselas (Bélgica) en 1977. Estudió en el Saint Luc's Institute en Bruselas. Desde 1999 Quentin ha publicado más de 25 libros para niños en varias editoriales de Francia, Bélgica, Alemania y Grecia. Sus libros se han traducido en muchos países y ha recibido el Premio Saint-Exupéry en 2000 por «Les contes de l’Alphabet» (Editions du Jasmin). Su trabajo ha sido seleccionado en 1999 y 2000 en la Feria Anual de Bolonia (Italia), y se puede ver aquí.

Quentin Gréban was born in 1977 in Brussels (Belgium) where he still lives today. He studied illustration at the Saint Luc Institute in Brussels. Since 1999 Quentin has published more than 25 children’s books in several French‚ Belgian‚ German and Greek publishing houses. His books are translated in many countries (Germany‚ Denmark‚ Hungary‚ England‚ Canada‚ Greece‚ Korea‚ United States…) He received the Saint–Exupéry award in 2000 for «Les contes de l’Alphabet» (Editions du Jasmin). His work has been selected in 1999‚ 2001 and 2008 in the Annual of the Bologna Children’s Bookfair (Italy). You can enjoy it here.

Nacido en San Benedetto del Tronto (Italia) en 1971, graduado de la Academia de Bellas Artes de Brera en Milán (1993), su trabajo es la pintura y ha exhibido en toda Italia. También trabaja como ilustrador para publicidad, y es un excelente caricaturista. En éste caso, he escogido algunos de sus retratos de músicos de jazz y blues. Muy buenos. Para ver más cosas, aquí.

Born in San Benedetto del Tronto (Italy) in 1971, graduated from the Brera Academy in Milan (1993), his work is the painting and has exhibited throughout Italy. He also works as an illustrator for advertising, and is an excellent cartoonist. In this case, I have chosen some of his portraits of jazz musicians and blues. Very good. You can see more, here.

Niños de la antigua China /
Children of Ancient China

Éstas fotografías, son parte de una serie publicada por "Cuaderno de retazos" (ineludible referencia para arte oriental con buen gusto y otras cosas no menos interesantes), y fueron tomadas en algún lugar de China entre los años 1895 y 1935. No están tratadas con photoshop, sino coloreadas a mano con pinceles. 

These photographs are part of a series published by "Cuaderno de retazos" (essential reference for Eastern art tastefully and other no less interesting things), and were taken somewhere in China between 1895 and 1935. They are not treated with photoshop, but colored by hand with brushes.
