"Prueba de fuego" se compone de fotografías tomadas en un corto viaje de 10 días a San Petersburgo y Moscú, Rusia. Cada una de las copias de esta serie se combinó con textos escritos a mano, citas de figuras históricas.
En 2000 su libro de fotografía "Fumadores adolescentes / Teenage Smokers", ganó el concurso italiano Search For Art y Templeton recibió 50.000 dólares. A principios de 2011 publicó un libro con una colección de fotografías titulada "Besadores adolescentes / Teenage Kissers".
El 12 de enero de 2013 celebró un acto de inauguración de una exposición fotográfica, titulada "Espuma de la memoria / Memory Foam", en la galería Roberts & Tilton de Culver City, California, Estados Unidos. Consta de sesenta y ocho fotografías, la muestra presenta las impresiones de Templeton de la gente de Huntington Beach, California, EE.UU., y finalizó el 16 de febrero de 2013.

Litmus Test is comprised of photographs taken on a short 10 day trip to St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. Each print in this series was coupled with handwritten text / quotes from historical figures.

On July 28 is the birthday of
Ed Templeton, American professional skateboarder, skateboard company owner, photographer and contemporary artist born in 1972 in Garden Grove, Orange County, California.
He is best known for founding the skateboard company, Toy Machine, a company that he continues to own and manage. He is based in Huntington Beach, California.
Outside of skateboarding, Templeton is a painter, graphic designer, and photographer, areas that he has gained a reputation within without any formal training—the Photography Colleges website, in an article entitled "New School Photography: Ed Templeton", identifies Templeton as "probably the most influential contemporary photographer".

In 2000, Templeton's book of photography, Teenage Smokers, won the Italian Search For Art competition and Templeton was awarded US$50,000. In early 2011, Templeton released a book featuring a collection of photographs, entitled Teenage Kissers.
On January 12, 2013, Templeton held an opening event for a photographic exhibition, entitled "Memory Foam", at the Roberts & Tilton gallery in Culver City, California, US. Consisting of sixty-eight photographs, the show features Templeton's impressions of the people of Huntington Beach, California, US and ended on February 16, 2013.

Lucy Moore, former friend of the late London bookstore owner Claire de Rouen, selected Templeton's book Litmus Test (Super Labo) for a tribute to de Rouen that was featured by the Modern Matter magazine in March 2013. In regard to Templeton's photographic exploration of Russia, Moore explains: "Like litmus paper turning irreversibly red after it has been soaked in lemon juice, the photographs document the way that first impressions leave indelible marks upon our memory, shaping what follows."

Fue estudiante de medicina en París hasta 1924, cuando conoció a André Breton a través de Pierre Naville, escritor surrealista y amigo de la infancia.

On July 29 is the birthday of
Jacques-André Boiffard, French photographer born in 1902 in Épernon in Eure-et-Loir.
He was a medical student in Paris until 1924 when he met André Breton through Pierre Naville, a Surrealist writer, and childhood friend.
In the mid-1920s, Boiffard decided to dedicate himself to research in the Bureau of Surrealist Research, writing the preface with Paul Éluard and Roger Vitrac to the first issue of La Révolution surréaliste. Preferring photography to literature, he served as Man Ray’s assistant from 1924 to 1929. During the 1920s, he took portraits of the English writer Nancy Cunard and photographs of Paris which Breton used to illustrate his novel Nadja. In 1928, Boiffard was abruptly expelled from the movement for taking photographs of Simone Breton. He co-founded a studio, Studio unis, with photographer Eli Lotar in 1929, although the studio went bankrupt in 1932.
From 1929 onward, Boiffard was closely associated with Georges Bataille and the circle of writers involved in Documents, in which his best-known work was published, illustrating articles such as Bataille’s "The Big Toe" (1929, issue 6), Robert Desnos’ "Pygmalion and the Sphinx" (1930, issue 1), and Georges Limbour’s "Eschyle, the carnival and the civilized" (1930, issue 2). Boiffard's photographs often manipulate scale and point of view, transpose multiple exposures, and contrast brightly lit objects against darkened backgrounds. He also made several photograms. In 1930, he contributed to Un Cadavre, a pamphlet that attacked Breton.

During the political turmoil of the 1930s, Boiffard was a member of the Groupe Octobre led by Jacques Prévert, and he exhibited his work as part of the Association des Écrivains et Artistes Révolutionnaires. He accompanied members of the Groupe October to Russia in 1933. Boiffard then set out on a world tour with fellow photographer Eli Lotar. Although partly financed by museologist Georges Henri Rivière and the Vicomte de Noailles the trip came to an early end in Tangiers. Following his return to Paris, Boiffard exhibited photographs from his travel in 1934 at the Galerie de la Pléiade.
Following his father's death in 1935 Boiffard resumed his studies to earn a doctorate in medicine in 1940 specializing in radiology, once and for all putting an end to his career as a photographer. He served as a radiologist at the Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris from 1940 to 1959.
He died in 1961.

In a career that spanned the 1940s through the 1990s, his photography appeared in magazines and newspapers such as House & Garden, Look and The New York Times Magazine and advertising campaigns for Borden Ice Cream and Jell-O.
He moved with his family to New York in 1915, where he graduated from The Dalton School. He was one of Helen Parkhurst's favorite students, who invited him to his country home with Josephine Porter Boardman. Both were interested in the young man's fascination with Shakespeare and Parkhurst introduced him to Belle da Costa Greene, who let him work with original volumes. His lifelong fascination with teaching, literature, art and history honoured the influence of the Dalton Plan of his early years.

After working for the Associated Press, he worked as a researcher for homeopath Guy Beckley Stearns, who gave him his first camera, a Rolleiflex, and taught him how to use it. They took long walks through Central Park. The doctor explained that the camera had no brain to interpret the image, and that a photographer had to learn to see and control what the lens captured.
Soon in his career as a photographer he met the "Zizis", by whom he met Nicki from Gunzburg, who gave him his first assignment for Town & Country magazine. He also produced commissioned photographic portraits, including Polish-American violinist Roman Totenberg and the American fashion designer Ralph Lauren.
He is well known for his James Tissot effects using a blurred spotlight.
He developed a special interest in computers, starting with Commodore 64, then several PCs and Power Macs.
He died in 2003.

Bruce Wayne Talamon, American photographer born in 1949 in Los Angeles.
He began high school in 1963 at the all-boys Catholic Verbum Dei High School, and went on to study political science at Whittier College in California. While studying abroad in Berlin, Germany in 1970, he bought his first camera, an Asahi Pentax, and went on to photograph Miles Davis and Dexter Gordon with it in Copenhagen. After graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, he forwent attending law school and instead decided to pursue a career as a photographer.

He received an offer to work as a photographer at the 1972 Watts Festival in Los Angeles. Although he did not end up getting the job, he was able to secure a backstage pass, which allowed him the access needed to take pictures of some of the most notable R&B artists of that era. His photograph of Isaac Hayes was, according Talamon, "the first R&B photograph [he] ever took". It was also on that occasion that he met photographer Howard Bingham and, thanks to Bingham's introducing him to Soul Newspaper's owner Regina Jones, began working as a contributing photographer, and later, photo editor.

In 1974, Talamon expanded his client base to include Motown Records, his first corporate client. He was soon shooting publicity and editorial photographs for other record companies, including CBS Records. That same year, he also began working as a freelancer for Jet, Ebony, and Black Stars magazines. Over the span of his career, he shot such household names as Donna Summers, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Bootsy Collins, and Chaka Khan.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Talamon accompanied several artists on tour, including Bob Marley (1978–1980) and Earth, Wind and Fire (1979–1980). His career as a photographer for R&B record companies came effectively to an end in 1982 due to new policies concerning photo buyouts.
Talamon started doing production stills photography in 1975. As a contract photographer for ABC Television, he worked on such shows as Laverne & Shirley, Taxi, American Bandstand, and Charlie's Angels and, in 1980, Don Cornelius hired him to be Soul Train’s stills photographer.
Talamon's first feature film working as a stills photographer was the 1982 Columbia Pictures feature Blue Thunder. He worked on projects at a number of major films studios over the next thirty years, including Staying Alive (1982), The Golden Child (1986), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Devil in a Blue Dress (1995), Space Jam (1996) and Larry Crowne (2011).
Talamon also worked as an editorial photographer for Time magazine. His first major assignment for the magazine was covering the 1984 American presidential primaries and the Reverend Jesse Jackson’s run for presidential candidacy. He would cover politics for Time once more during the 1988 Democratic primaries.
Since the mid-1990s, Talamon has been involved in the publication of several photography books and exhibitions featuring his work.
