Aldo Calò, escultor italiano nacido en 1910 en San Cesario di Lecce, Apulia.
Estudió arte en Lecce y Florencia. Comenzó a exhibir en 1945; desde este momento comenzó a ampliar su horizonte a nivel nacional, participando por primera vez en la XXXI Bienal de Venecia (1962) y en la Cuatrienal de Roma.

Viajó extensamente por Francia y el Reino Unido, donde descubrió a Henry Moore. Sus esculturas, hechas de metal y madera, se acercan mucho en sus características al arte informal.

He studied art in Lecce and Florence. He began to exhibit in 1945; from this moment he began to broaden his horizon at a national level first participating in the XXXI Venice Biennale (1962) and in the Rome Quadrennial.

He traveled extensively in France and the United Kingdom where he discovered Henry Moore. His sculptures, made using metal and wood, closely resemble the characteristics of informal art.
He died in 1983.

Christophe Veyrier, escultor francés nacido en 163 en Trets, Bouches-du-Rhône, sobrino y seguidor de Pierre Puget.
Llegó a Génova en 1663 y permaneció varios años, antes de mudarse a Roma para vivir de 1668 a 1670. En 1674 se casó con la hija de la hermana de la esposa de Puget.
Trabajó en Aix-en-Provence y luego se estableció en Toulon, donde vivió hasta su muerte en 1689.

En uno de sus encargos más importantes, creó estatuas religiosas para la Capilla del Corpus Domini en la Catedral de Toulon. También trabajó en Montpellier. Se le atribuyen estatuas de temas antiguos y mitológicos, incluido el relieve de mármol blanco de la familia de Darius que se exhibe en la Casa Stowe en Inglaterra. Los estudios más recientes le atribuyen la estatua de la Inmaculada Concepción en la Catedral de Tivoli (según la literatura más antigua, la estatua se atribuyó anteriormente al propio Puget).

Christophe Veyrier, French sculptor born in 163 in Trets, Bouches-du-Rhône, the nephew and follower of Pierre Puget
He arrived in Genoa in 1663 and stayed for a number of years, before moving to Rome to live from 1668-70. In 1674 he married the daughter of the sister of Puget's wife.
He worked in Aix-en-Provence, then settled in Toulon, where he lived until his death in 1689.

In one of his most important commissions, he created religious statues for the Chapel of Corpus Domini in Toulon Cathedral. He also worked at Montpellier. Statues of ancient and mythological subjects are attributed to him, including the white marble relief of the family of Darius displayed at Stowe House in England. The most recent studies attribute to him the statue of the Immaculate Conception in Tivoli Cathedral (according to older literature the statue was formerly attributed to Puget himself).
His sculptures are held by the Musée d'Art, Toulon; the Musée Granet, Aix-en-Provence; the Musée du Louvre, Paris; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Alfred Courtens, escultor belga nacido en 1889 en Bruselas.
Era hijo del pintor Franz Courtens (1854-1943) y hermano del pintor Hermann Courtens (1884-1956) y el arquitecto Antoine Courtens (1899-1969). Se formó en la Academia de Bruselas con el escultor Charles Van Der Stappen (1843-1910) y luego en el Instituto Superior de Bellas Artes de Amberes con el escultor Thomas Vinçotte (1850-1925). Hizo un viaje de estudios a Italia. Recibió el Premio Godecharle en 1913 por su obra "Le Caprice / El capricho".

Alfred Courtens, Belgian sculptor born in 1889 in Brussels.
He was the son of the painter Franz Courtens (1854-1943) and brother of the painter Hermann Courtens (1884-1956) and the architect Antoine Courtens (1899-1969). He trained at the Brussels Academy, with the sculptor Charles Van Der Stappen (1843-1910) and then at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp, with the sculptor Thomas Vinçotte (1850-1925). He made a study trip to Italy. He received the Godecharle Prize in 1913 for his work "Le Caprice".

He produced classic monumental works, busts of personalities, including several members of the Belgian royal family, commemorative medals, also free works celebrating youth and maternal love.
In 1928, he was appointed professor of sculpture at the Royal Academy of Dendermonde.
He died in 1967.
