Peeter Tooming, fotógrafo estonio nacido en 1939 en Rakvere.
Estudió periodismo en la Universidad Estatal de Tartu desde 1968 hasta 1974. Fue director de fotografía en Tallinnfilm Film Studio en Estonia desde 1963, donde realizó trabajos documentales. Ha realizado aproximadamente veinte películas documentales, incluyendo Moments (1976), que trata sobre el desarrollo de la fotografía en Estonia desde 1850 hasta 1970. De su oficio, el artista afirma que "un fotógrafo tiene derecho a utilizar los medios más diversos para expresar sus pensamientos y sentimientos."
Fue uno de los fundadores del grupo de fotógrafos STODOM en 1964, que se convirtió en una importante influencia de la fotografía en Estonia. Peeter Tooming, Estonian photographer born in 1939 in Rakvere.
He studied journalism at Tartu State University from 1968 to 1974. He was director of photography at Tallinnfilm Film Studio in Estonia since 1963, where he did documentary work. He has made approximately twenty documentary films, including Moments (1976), which deals with the development of photography in Estonia from 1850 to 1970. Of his craft, the artist states, "A photographer has the right to make use of the most diverse means for expressing his thoughts and feelings."
Tooming was one of the founders of the group of photographers STODOM in 1964, which became an important influence of photography in Estonia. In his works and manifestations, Tooming pressed on the possibilities of subject language subjectivity offered by optics and photochemistry - above all, he presented modernist insights into the "independence" of the image space with respect to everyday experience. Using infrared film, filters, and special chemical techniques, he shocked the viewers' perceptions of tonal proportions.
He published 15 photobooks and albums.
He died in 1997.

Colin Delfosse, fotógrafo independiente belga nacido en 1981. Es miembro fundador del colectivo Out of Focus.
Trabajando en proyectos personales a largo plazo en la República Democrática del Congo, la región de África Central y los estados postsoviéticos, Delfosse combina encargos de ONGs con misiones basadas en Bruselas, y es editor de fotos y miembro fundador de la revista investigadora belga Médor.

Colin Delfosse, Belgian freelance photographer born in 1981. He's a founding member of the Out of Focus collective.
Working on personal long-term projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African region and post-Soviet states, Delfosse combines NGOs field assignments with Brussels-based missions and being the photo editor and founding member of the Belgian investigative magazine Médor.

Pierre Boulat, fotógrafo francés nacido en Condé-Sainte-Libiaire, Francia, en 1924. Comenzó a tomar fotografías en 1938. En 1940, en París, se matriculó en la Escuela Nacional de Fotografía y Cine de la que se graduó como primero de su clase. En 1943, para escapar del trabajo forzoso en Alemania, huyó a la Zona Franca de Francia y terminó en Vichy trabajando para el SCP, el servicio de fotografía del gobierno francés.
Después de la Liberación comenzó a trabajar para la prensa francesa, cubriendo crímenes, celebridades y eventos de actualidad. Hizo su primer viaje a los Estados Unidos, que duró cuatro meses, antes de descubrir el Medio Oriente.
En 1948, se mudó a El Cairo, donde publicó "Imágenes de Egipto".

On June 3 is the birthday of
Pierre Boulat, French photographer born in Condé-Sainte-Libiaire, France in 1924. He started taking pictures in 1938. In 1940, in Paris, he enrolled in the French National School of photography and film from which he graduated at the head of his class. In 1943 to escape forced labor in Germany, he fled to the French Free zone and ended up in Vichy working for the SCP, the French government’s photography service.
After the Liberation, he started working for the French press for which he covered celebrities, crimes and current events. He made his first trip to the United States, which lasted four months, before discovering the Middle East.
In 1948, he moved to Cairo where he published Images d’ Egypte.

In 1948, Back to Paris he opened a fashion studio and worked as a freelancer for the Parisian and American press. He shooted numerous feature stories including « L’Enfance Perdue » for Look Magazine for which he received the Encyclopedia Britannica Prize.
After 1957 he signed his first exclusive contract with the prestigious Life magazine. His collaboration with the prestigious magazine lasted until it closed in December 1972: News, Politics, Fashion, People, and features. Several of his photo stories were scoops. In 1972, he shooted in Namibia desert the background pictures for the first part of Stanley Kubrick’s « 2001 space Odyssey ».

Back to free lancing after the closing of Life magazine, he worked for various French and foreign magazines. In 1982, he began collaboration with French magazine Paris Match, which lasted ten years and allowed him to develop his skills in international photo reporting in color.
In 1994 he was named Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. His work his shown in various galleries in Paris and outside. The National Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris acquired several of his photographs.
He died in 1998.

Se graduó de la École Louis Lumière en 1987.
