Pierre Carreau nació en 1972 cerca de París, y se crió rodeado de influencias artísticas en una familia en la que había un fotógrafo, escultores y pintores. Tal vez como reacción a estas sutiles presiones, escogió inicialmente seguir un camino diferente y se graduó en la universidad en negocios. Pero como su alma de artista no podía ser reprimida, tras algunos años trabajando en la industria IT, Carreau regresó a sus raíces convirtiéndose en fotógrafo profesional.

Un amor de larga data por los océanos y los deportes acuáticos, le llevó a fotografiar para revistas de surf y kite-surf, pero el agua misma captó su imaginación artística y se convirtió en el génesis de "AquaViva". En 2004 Pierre se mudó con su esposa e hijos a la isla caribeña de San Bartolomé. Este pequeño paraíso es ahora el estudio al aire libre de Carreau, donde las sutiles variaciones de la luz del sol tropical y la infinitamente cambiante alma del mar se han convertido en los sujetos para sus visiones.

Born in 1972 near Paris, Pierre Carreau grew up surrounded by artistic influences in a family that included a photographer, sculptors and painters. Perhaps in reaction to this subtle pressure, he chose initially to pursue a different path and graduated from university with a degree in business. Yet the soul of the artist would not be repressed, and after a number of years working in the IT industry, Carreau returned to his roots and became a professional photographer.

A long-held love of the ocean and water-sports led him to work photographing action shots for surf and kite-surf magazines, but the water itself eventually captured his artistic imagination and became the genesis of AquaViva. In 2004 Pierre moved with his wife and children to the Caribbean island of St. Barthélemy. This small paradise has become Carreau’s open-air studio, where the subtle variations of light from the tropical sun and the endlessly changing soul of the sea become the subjects of his vision.

Saimen Lee es un ilustrador nacido en Kota Bahru, Malasia.
"Si no puedes convencerlos, confúndelos", dice Saimen Lee, que parece tomarse todo con mucho humor.
Graduado en un curso de ilustración, ama el skate, el arte y la música. Trabaja en ilustración, caricaturas y diseño gráfico.
Sus diseños son geométricos, minimalistas y muy efectivos. Aquí tienen esta bonita serie de esqueletos de dinosaurios realizados con cañerías, pero pueden ver más de su trabajo en los links adjuntos.
Saimen Lee is an illustrator born in Kota Bahru, Malaysia.
"If you can't convince them, confuse them", is what it says Saimen Lee, who seems to take everything with a lot of humor.
Graduated in illustration course, love skate, art and music. He works in illustration, cartooning, graphic design.
His designs are geometrical, minimalistic and very effective. Here you have this nice series of dinosaur skeletons designed with pipes, but you can see more of his work in the links below.

Richard A. Moore III es un escultor estadounidense nacido en Portland, que crea extrañas y hermosas criaturas híbridas, y singulares retratos de curiosos seres. Estudió en la Universidad Estatal de Portland y en la Escuela Superior Tigard.
«El centro de mi expresión artística durante los últimos 15 años, más o menos, ha sido la escultura. Primero trabajo en arcilla y/o cera, todo será eventualmente fundido en bronce. El fundido en bronce, sin embargo, es una empresa muy costosa (de ahí el término "inversión en fundición"), así que una buena parte de mi obra aquí aún está en su forma original de arcilla o cera. En el último año también he vuelto a hacer más dibujos. Y de ahí surgió mi deseo de comenzar a tatuar, aún cuando el tatuaje es para mí más una forma de hacer dinero que de expresión artística. Como pueden ver, varias de mis esculturas tienen dibujos asociados, de los cuales hay impresiones disponibles.»

«Esta es la segunda versión de mi híbrido medusa/bailarina. La primera era mucho más pequeña, y no tan fluida. También fue la primera escultura que hice utilizando cera en la parte superior, para un máximo de detalle, y arcilla en la mitad inferior para la fluidez.»
«This is the second version of my jellyfish/ballerina hybrid. The first was much smaller, and not as fluid. This was also the first sculpture I made using wax on the upper half, for maximum detail, and clay on the lower half for fluidity.»

Richard A. Moore III is an American sculptor born in Portland. He creates strange and beautiful hybrid creatures and singular portraits of curious beings. He studied in the Portland State University and the Tigard High School.
«My main focus of artistic expression over the last 15 years or so, has been sculpture. I primarily work all in clay and/or wax, all of which eventually will be cast in bronze. Bronze casting, however is a very expensive endeavour (hence the term "investment casting"), so a good portion of my work here on the site remains in its original clay or wax form. Over the last year or so, I have also begun to get back to doing more drawing. And from that, sprang my desire to start tatooing, even though tatooing is more a way to make money than artistic expression for me. As you will see, a number of my sculptures have primarily drawings associated with them, of which prints are available.»

Gilles Cenazandotti es un artista francés nacido en Bastia (Córcega) en 1966, que ha dado un nuevo giro a la expresión "La basura de un hombre es el tesoro de otro".
Crea sus fantásticas esculturas con restos que encuentra en las playas. Él criba las zonas costeras buscando materiales de deshecho para crear sus esculturas de especies amenazadas. Están cuidadosamente ensambladas y presentan diferentes tonos del mismo color.
Como el artista escribió:
«Como las especies ven su espacio vital reducido, desapegadas de lo natural y varadas en lo desconocido, lugares irreconocibles, parecen abrazar la mutación.
Las playas de plástico abren así un nuevo espacio para la reflexión sobre el futuro de nuestro planeta y la evolución de la vida, la sociedad de sobreconsumo, el desafío de los recursos naturales y la destrucción de las especies.»
Gilles también fotografía sus esculturas en entornos naturales para evidenciar aún más estos contrastes.

Gilles Cenazandotti is a French artist born in Bastia (Corsica) in 1966 that has put a new spin on the saying 'One man's trash is another man's treasure'.
He creates this fantastic animal sculptures with beach litter. He scours the seaside looking for discarded items to create his sculptures of endangered species.
The sculptures are carefully ensambled and shows different shades of the same colour.
As the artist wrote:
«As the species see their living space diminish, attached to nothing natural and stranded in unknown, unrecognizable places, they seem to embrace mutation.
The plastic beach thus opens as a place for reflection on the future of our planet and the evolution of life, the society of overconsumption, the challenge of nature and resources, and the destruction of species.»
Gilles also photograph their sculptures in natural settings to further demonstrate these contrasts.

Dan Mountford es un joven diseñador gráfico freelance y fotógrafo inglés, criado en Bedfordshire. Actualmente reside en Brighton.
Su obra más reconocible es una serie de fotografías de doble exposición, descritas por él como "un viaje visual a través de nuestras mentes, ordenado y calmo, que la realidad de la vida cotidiana no nos muestra."
Dan ha estado trabajando como freelance durante varios años para importantes clientes de todo el mundo, y ha realizado una exposición en París, en la Gallerie Florence Leoni.
En estas imágenes, no hay Photoshop. Las exposiciones se han creado exclusivamente con la cámara. El trabajo de post-producción ha consistido en cambios de tono, quitar algunas manchas y agregar algún vector.

Dan Mountford is an young English freelance graphic designer and photographer, raised in Bedfordshire. Nowadays he's based in Brighton.
His most recognized work is a series of double exposure photography, described by him as “a visual journey through our minds by calm and tidy means which the reality of everyday life does not show”.
Dan has been working freelance for several years with notable clients from around the world and held a solo exhibition in Paris, France, at the Gallerie Florence Leoni.
In this images, no Photoshop are involved. The exposures are created entirely by camera. Post production work consisted of a change in tone, the removal of odd blemishes & the addition of some vector.
